Narrow Sloping Garden – Woodhouse Eaves

narrow sloping garden in Woodhouse Eaves

Designer: Frances Hunt Garden Design
Approx build budget: £25k

Our clients had their garden designed by Frances Hunt Garden Design. The sloping site was the rear garden of a terraced house in Woodhouse Eaves, Leicestershire.

Being a terraced house with a narrow garden meant access was tight.

The client wanted a few spaces to entertain and relax. Closest to the house we installed a framed sandstone paving area with a detail surround in sandstone setts, supplied by P&R Building Supplies.

Leading from this we build some large steps, paved and clad in grey sandstone, which led on to planked paving with gravel in-fill, and flower borders created on either side, which was prepared ready for planting.

Further down the garden, we installed a summer-house base for the new summer-house, overlooking the main terraced area, surrounded by planting borders.

We also installed a bespoke framed screen fence, and gate fencing in PAR tanalised (pressure-treated) timber from George Walker.

Finally, we installed feature tanalised PAR posts, to separate areas within the garden whilst still allowing views.
